Rock drilling made easy!

With the TERRA-JET DJ 23 AT, the Swiss engineers have developed a compact yet powerful rock drilling rig for directional rock drilling up to 100 metres in length. Equipped with a 101 HP strong Deutz diesel engine (Euro Stage 5), the DJ 23 AT delivers up to 11 tonnes of pulling and thrust force. The DJ 23 AT is equipped with a total of 36x dual rods, resulting in a total length of 103 metres on board capacity. The bending radius is 35 metres for aggressive steering in the ground.

Compact and powerful

With a width of just 1.80 m, the DJ 23 AT has a compact design and is easy to position and transport on the construction site. This makes the system ideal even in confined spaces.

Hydraulically rotatable cabin

The DJ 23 AT elevates drilling performance with its hydraulically rotatable cabin, allowing the driller to effortlessly adjust their position from 0°‐60° - making sure they are always in optimal control of each job.

Dual rod with inner shaft

The dual rod of the DJ 23 AT consists of an outer rod and an inner shaft. It is centred and guided via a hexagon. For the pilot bore, a roller cutter is installed at the front of the inner. It rotates at a top speed of 330 rpm and generates a spindle torque of up to 1,100 Nm. This enables the roller cutter to drill out even difficult soils with ease. During the backreaming process, the roller cutter is uninstalled and the hole opener is mounted on the outer rod. The outer rod reaches a spindle speed of up to 220 rpm. The carriage enables a maximum torque of 4,000 Nm for maximum productivity.

The Intelligent Drilling Assistant systems, like Thrust Mode, Carve Mode and Drill Speed Control ensures an efficient and stress-free drilling process. The advanced CLP Control System enables all drilling assistant systems to gain an understanding of their underground environment, ensuring peak productivity and performance through the 12” Screen for onboard diagnostics.

Rock drilling tools are a matter of trust

TERRA offers various rock drilling tools. For pilot drilling, the inner shaft is connected to the Rockmaster. It can be equipped with a roller cutter or a PDC chissel, depending on the subsoil. Special hole openers or conventional rock reamers are used for the widening process. This enables efficient working.

High mud flow rate

The DJ 23 AT is a powerful rig capable of providing superior drilling performance with 185 l/min flow rate - ideal for those who need more out of their production and efficiency.

Oscillating drill ramp

TERRA has developed a patented oscillating drill ramp for the DJ 23. It has two rotation points with two separate cylinders. With this unique system, the drill ramp can achieve a drilling angle from 19 % up to 40 % (11° - 22°). The rubber crawler stays firm on the ground up to a gradient of 36%.
