TERRA-JACK 200

Directional rod pusher 20 t

House connections up to ø 160 mm

The TERRA-JACK 200 is the ideal machine for short and directional road crossings in displaceable soil. Especially where space is limited, the compact size of the unit shows it advantages. It can easily be dismantled into light and transportable components. The JACK 200 can be used for pit and cellar operations. It is the most efficiant way to put more pipes into the ground.

As a typical entry-level machine in the trenchless pipeline construction, the TERRA-JACK 200 can be used successfully for directional pipe laying for house connections or short road crossings. It has a thrust force of 140 kN (14 t) and a pulling force of 200 kN (20 t).

The TERRA-JACK 200 is typically used in the areas of house connections, road or garden crossings, where lengths of 30 m and more are required. With the aid of a transmitter behind the drill head, the pilot bore can be controlled. The minimum bending radius of the rods is 25 m. The bore channel can be expanded upt o 220 mm to pull in plastic pipes up to 160 mm.

The machine can be driven by a robust power pack or an external mini-excavator or backhoe.

Basement operation

The TERRA-JACK 200 is due to its high pulling force of 200 kN (20 t) and its possibility to dissassemble the whole unit the ideal machine to lay pipes with an outer diameter of up to 160 mm. TERRA offers various starting and safety accessories for the cellar and pit operation.
The TERRA-JACK 200 can be easily and quickly assembled into a few components. The four main components (front plate, two hydraulic cylinders, clamping unit) weigh max. 24 kg each. For optimal positioning of the hydraulic hoses, the hydraulic cylinders can be turned by 120°. The wall flange is mounted on the wall of the cellar. It has an opening width of 170 mm for PE pipes OD 160 mm. It can either be installed horizontally or vertically, depending on the space available.
The wall flange is equipped with several positions to fix the TERRA-JACK 200 in it. It offers a front position for the pilot bore and a rear position for the pulling procedure. This means that all tools including the pulling head and the pipe can be pulled into the basement. An installation template for marking the drill hole positions and special concrete screws speed up the wall flange installation.

Pit shoring

When using the TERRA-JACK 200 in the pit, the dismountable pit shoring provides for a distribution of the tensile forces.

Automatic steering system

A patented automatic steering system simplifies the steering in soft ground: the clamping unit is automatically rotated during operation, which eliminates the need to turn the boom by hand using the control lever.

Expanding up to 220 mm

After the pilot bore, the drill head and sonde housing are dismantled and replaced by an expander cone. The expander cone expands the bore channel during pipe pulling. It protects the pulling head from falling soil material. Depending on the ground conditions, expander cones up to ø 220 mm can be used and PE pipes with OD up to 160 mm can be pulled in.

Expander stars are used for the pre-weakening and loosening of the subsoil. They thus facilitate the pipe pull-in and are mounted in front of the expander cones.

Rato Power Pack

The TERRA‐JACK is powered by a proven 23 HP strong Rato petrol power pack. It offers up to 40 l/min at 235 bar. The TERRA-JACK can also be driven by a mini‐excavator or a backhoe.
