    The TERRA-EXTRACTOR X 100 is an extremely powerful and compact cable burster for your tough lateral pipe bursting jobs. Equipped with a ø 13 mm or 8 mm cable the X 100 is ideal for the replacement of old pipes made from PE/PVC, thin-walled steel and lead. Pipe bursting with a TERRA cable burster provides a high degree of flexibility. Its compact footprint requires minimal excavation and the system is built to help you cut down on wasted time, maximizing productivity. Its user-friendly, modular design makes it easy to operate, easy to set up and easy to transport.

10 tons for maximum performance

    Powered by a proven 13 HP strong VANGUARD engine you get the power to get the job done quickly and the durability to be up and running burst after burst. The X 100 replaces 12 to 50 mm lateral pipes with up to 10 tons of pulling force at 175 bar. New pipes up to ø 63 mm can be replaced over length up to 75 m. The X 100 operates at low pressure, so you can choose from a variety of power supply options. Use our dedicated control unit or any other hydraulic supply capable of 175 bar with a flow of at least 40 ltr/min. You even can run it from your backhoe or compact excavator by simply connecting it to its quick-hitch system.

Old plastic pipes

    Old plastic pipes can easily be replaced with rectangular PE-cutters. These special cutters cut the old plastic pipes into two stripes. The cone displaces the old pipe sidewise while pulling in the new HDPE pipe. The old plastic pipe is cut in front of the cable burster X 100 with a special swell cone. The cutter prevents that the old pipe moves into the machine. Several house connections can be replaced within one day.

Thin-walled steel pipes

    Thin-walled steel is cut with static 3-wing cutters or with small roller cutters. TERRA developed the smallest roller cutters in the world (1 ¼“ – 2“). Even pipe sleeves can easily be cut.

Old lead pipes

    Old lead pipes are renewed with the patented 2-step-method. In a first step the old pipe is cut into three stripes with special lead cutters by holding the old lead pipe in position. In a second step the ole lead pipe is displaced sidewise and the new pipe is pulled in.

Unique clamping jaws

    Four cable clamps with longitudinal slots (patented) guarantee secure contact to the pulling cable, no matter if the cable is new or dirty. The main clamp clamps the cable when the two cylinders push the main clamp upwards. The counter clamp holds the cable under tension when the two cylinders move downwards and the main clamp is released.

Patented steel frame

    The pulling cable is deflecting from horizontal to vertical position in the patented steel frame. The frame has a blocking adapter, which stops the old pipe in case it comes out of the ground.

Cable guidance

    The cable guidance ensures that the cable slides smoothly into the main clamp. It eliminates bungee effect to improve your productivity.

Power supply by Vanguard power pack

    The X 100 operates at low pressure with high production. The robust and powerful VANGUARD petrol engine offers up to 13 HP (10 kW). It is durable and reliable.

Power supply by mini-excavator or backhoe

    The X 100 can be supplied by a backhoe or a mini-excavator. Connect it to your quick-hitch system of your power supply and operate the X 100 comfortable in the cabin.

Safety kit

    The X 100 is officially checked by the European Safety institute according due to European law. The safety kit was especially made for the British market and includes:
  1. electric strike alarm with tester
  2. grid and grounding stick
  3. 2 pairs isolation gloves 17 kV
  4. 15 m long electric cable

    Further the X 100 has an outer burst protection sheaving around the hydraulic hoses in case of a burst.
